See More 08/18/2012 0700 The Battle of Dry CreekIn August 1863, Union general William Woods Averell led a 600-mile raid culminating in the Battle of Dry Creek at White Sulphur Springs in Greenbrier County, WV. Col. George S. Patton, grandfather of the legendary World War II general, met Averell with a dedicated Confederate force. After a fierce two-day battle, Patton defeated Averell, forcing him to retreat.
You are cordially invited to attend the Battle of Dry Creek 2012. Some things have changed with the 2012 event. Pre-registration fee is $5.00 per soldier/civilian through July 1, 2012. After this date registration and walk on fee is $10 per soldier/civilian.
The first 25 Union and Confederate Infantrymen who pre-register will receive a powder bounty and registration refund!
The first five Artillery guns that pre-register will receive a $100.00 powder bounty.
